Four elements to pay attention to when using a horizontal machining center

A horizontal machining center refers to a machining center in which the worktable and spindle are set in a parallel state. A horizontal machining center usually has three linear motion coordinate axes and one worktable rotation axis. Horizontal machining centers can automatically select different cutting tools according to the program after clamping the workpiece in one go, change the spindle speed, and complete multiple processes on multiple surfaces in sequence according to the programming order. This type of machining center is most suitable for processing box type parts. Next, EMAR will introduce four key points to pay attention to when using a horizontal machining center.

Firstly, the environment for installing a horizontal machining center

Horizontal machining centers should be installed in places far away from the earthquake source, not exposed to direct sunlight, without thermal radiation, and without moisture. If there is a seismic source near the location where the horizontal machining center is installed, shock-absorbing grooves should be set up around the horizontal machining center. If shock-absorbing grooves are not set up, it will directly affect the machining accuracy and stability of the horizontal machining center. Over time, it will affect the poor contact of electronic components, cause malfunctions, and affect the reliability of the horizontal machining center.

Second: Factory parameter settings for machine tools

When using a horizontal machining center, customers cannot arbitrarily change the factory parameter settings of the machine tool, as these factory parameter settings directly affect the dynamic characteristics of various components of the horizontal machining center. Only the gap compensation parameter values can be set according to the actual situation. If you want to change the factory settings parameters, you should contact the manufacturer and operate the factory parameter settings under the guidance of the manufacturer's technical personnel.

Strictly control the third voltage and current

Horizontal machining centers are usually installed in the machining workshop, and the numerous mechanical equipment in the workshop inevitably leads to large fluctuations in the power grid. Therefore, the installation position of the horizontal machining center must strictly control the voltage and current of the power supply. The voltage and current of the power supply must be controlled within the allowable range of the horizontal machining center, and the voltage and current of the power supply must be kept stable, otherwise it will directly affect the normal operation of the horizontal machining center.

Fourthly, temperature and humidity will directly affect the horizontal machining center

Horizontal machining centers generally need to operate in an environment below 30 degrees Celsius to function properly. In general, the distribution box of horizontal machining centers is equipped with exhaust fans and air coolers to ensure that electronic components and central processing are working at a constant temperature. If the temperature and humidity are too high, it will lead to a decrease in the lifespan of the control system components, resulting in an inexplicable increase in failures of the horizontal machining center. If the humidity increases, dust will accumulate on the integrated circuit board, directly leading to poor contact and short circuit faults.
