There are often stamping factories that say that after quoting the price of the product to the customer, they will propose to make a simple stamping die first to make a few samples to test. For this type of customer, it is best to advise the customer not to make a simple die at the beginning. So why make such a suggestion?
1. Simple stamping dies cannot produce stamped parts that fully meet the requirements of customer drawings.
The customer wants to use the simple stamping die to make samples, but the product has not been finally confirmed in the early stage, and wants to spend a relatively small mold fee to test the samples. However, the product made by the simple stamping die cannot ensure the accuracy of the scale, and even after the customer tests, it is impossible to determine whether it is caused by the product or because the scale is not qualified.
2. Simple stamping dies cannot ensure the uniformity of stamping parts.
There is no way to ensure that each stamping part is the same, because simple stamping dies often do not have positioning, guide posts and other accessories, and each stroke will have different errors, which will lead to customers in the stamping parts test can not get satisfactory results, which is not good for customers and stamping processing plants.
3. Simple stamping dies that cannot be mass-produced can lead to waste.
Because of the simple structure and low precision, the simple stamping die cannot be mass-produced after the customer confirms the sample and can only be scrapped. This leads to severe waste.
In fact, if the customer does not have a final confirmation of the stamping product, there is no need to open a simple stamping die to produce samples. The stamping factory can recommend the customer to use other processing techniques to achieve this.
